2006 Flotilla Commander and
Vice Commander

Robert Spielman and Vernon Meyer were unanimously re-elected Flotilla Commander and Vice Commander, respectively for 2006. The flotilla is looking forward to another banner year under the experienced leadership of our re-elected bridge.

District Commodoret Charles Sferra has appointed Sal Fiore to the important position of District Staff Officer for Member Training.

Way to go Sal!

He was also re-appointed as Qualification Examiner Coordinator Sector Long Island Sound-South


Congratulations to the Newly Appointed
Division Member Training Officer

Division Captain Brendan Earlsl has appointed Donald Bromberg as Division Member Training Officer. This is in addition to his most important duty as TCT facilitator for the regular Coast Guard and the Auxiliary.


Congratulations to the Re-appointed
Division Operations Officer

Division Captain Brendan Earls has re-appointed Alan Reff as Division Operations Officer.


 

Team Commendation Awarded

A Meritorious Team Commendation has been awarded to the "Small Boat Handling for Local Law Enforcement Training" team for its efforts 20Jul thru 5Aug, 2005.

This was a ground breaking 80-hour course taught over a 2-week period to members of the Port Authority Police Department. Flotilla 1309 participated in this effort with three team members: Donald Bromberg, Sal Fiore and Alan Reff.
